Job summary

Heartland Dental’s Dental Care at Seminole Ridge is seeking a Business Assistant to support front-office operations and patient care. The role involves greeting patients, handling phones and emails, scheduling with Dentrix, and coordinating with providers to optimize office workflow.

The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication, and a commitment to HIPAA and PHI protection, with training opportunities and a team-centered culture at Heartland

Qualifications

• HIPAA training awareness and PHI safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail, emails, insurance communications.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records; schedule multiple providers.
• File and follow up on insurance claims; verify benefits and coverage.
• Post payments and manage accounts receivable; review treatment plan fees.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to improve office potential.
