The Division of Community Health Services is seeking a Dental Public Health Office Assistant to support clerical and front-office operations in health department dental clinics. This On-Site role helps ensure smooth patient flow, accurate records, strong customer service, and coordination of dental services across assigned locations.

The position is based at 90 Yum Yum Road, Somerville, TN, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule.

Qualificações

Two years of full-time customer service, clerical, or office work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background check (TBI) required.
College coursework may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis, up to two years.

Responsabilidades

Schedule and manage patient appointments, including check-in/check-out, reminders, follow-up calls, and visit communication.
Register patients by collecting demographic information and reviewing eligibility documentation for federal/state programs.
Enter and retrieve information using health department management systems and other required software platforms.
Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, insurance documentation, and information release approvals.
Assemble forms, scan and index records into the electronic dental record, and support clinic flow.
Process and balance cash drawer following fiscal procedures.
Inform clients of program rights and responsibilities and maintain a cooperative work environment.
