Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a reputable health center in Pomona, CA to recruit a Customer Service Representative for the Dental Clinic. You will greet patients, assist visitors, and ensure a welcoming, accurate check-in while maintaining HIPAA standards.

You will handle payments, verify demographics and insurance, support patient flow, and coordinate with back-office teams. A 1–2 year background in a dental office is preferred, along with strong phone etiquette and computer skills, particularly

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience working in dental office (prior dental experience required)
• Excellent customer service and professional phone etiquette
• Strong computer skills, including keyboarding, Windows, and accurate data entry
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Exceptional patient relations and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and professionally
• Assist patients with check-in and communicate next steps
• Verify patient eligibility and assist with program enrollment
• Update patient demographics and insurance information in the EMR
• Collect payments following Finance procedures
• Obtain required patient documentation (photo ID, insurance, Medi-Cal/Medicare/Social Security)
• Assist with completing required forms
• Notify back-office care team when check-in is complete
• Confirm appointments and follow up on no-shows
• Maintain clinic logs and participate in care team meetings
• Complete closing duties and secure the facility
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment and protect patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Perform other duties as assigned
