Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Graduates of formal medical reception or equivalent training preferred.
  • Two years in medical/dental receptionist roles or insurance processing is acceptable.
  • Two years in a customer service position.
  • One year of data lookup and data entry on PC-based systems.
  • One year of customer service via phone or in-person in the last five years.
  • Ability to stay organized under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts professionally with patients and other contacts, in person or by phone.
  • Schedules patient appointments to optimize provider schedules and visit lengths.
  • Manages patient records and informs charges for future treatments at point of service.
  • Collects payments and reconciles charges and payments.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Performs other duties as needed to meet patient needs and support the clinic.
