Job summary

Long Wharf Dental in New Haven, CT is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our clinical team. In this role you will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and help patients understand treatment plans while coordinating with staff to maintain a smooth front-desk operation.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of front-desk experience in healthcare, excellent customer service, and familiarity with insurance; full-time hours, benefits, and a supportive team are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
• Experience answering telephones and delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service; acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal.
• Respond to patient questions and or concerns according to DCA Policies.
• Answering Telephones.
• Scheduling Appointments.
• Maintaining Appointment Book.
• Confirming Appointments.
• Follow up on no shows/cancellation of Appointments.
• Register Patients on sign in sheet.
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts; Checking voicemail daily.
• Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
