Job Description

Siouxland Community Health Center has an opening for a Full-time Dental Customer Service Representative (4 days per week with one evening).

Preferred candidates must have solid experience and advanced knowledge of:

  • Customer service experience, with dental reception and collection experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills.
  • Experience with Dentrix system is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology is preferred.
  • Insurance administration experience is a plus.
  • Prior dental clinic experience is advantageous.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.

Successful candidates must be able to perform the following primary functions:

  • Serve as the first point of contact, checking patients in and out, and directing patient flow.
  • Obtain, review, update, and data enter patient demographics, insurance, and financial information in the Practice Management System (PMS).
  • Maintain and identify different insurance types, co-pays, and deductibles.
  • Discuss account balances with patients and collect payments.
  • Maintain the recall system and manage appointment statuses such as ASAP, Wait, Will Call, and unscheduled lists.
