The Dental Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling incoming calls from members, providers, brokers, and group administrators to verify eligibility, benefits, explain EOBs, research claim payments, and answer general questions in a call center environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Dental terminology experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures
  • Attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure

Essential Functions:

  • Provide information about dental services, eligibility, and benefits via telephone
  • Meet department metrics for call volume and talk time
  • Record interactions and transactions accurately
  • Handle customer grievances and follow up on unresolved issues
  • Review insurance policy terms for service coverage

Work Environment: Remote, with a dedicated workspace. Heavy phone and computer use. Position is sedentary.

Additional Details:

  • Shift: 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week, flexible hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, occasional overtime
  • Reports to: Customer Service Manager
  • Employment: Full Time, Non-exempt
  • Location: Candidates must reside in FL, GA, IN, KS, NC, SC, VA
