Bay Area Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians with four-handed dentistry, take x-rays, and maintain patient comfort.

Greet patients, review health history, and use Dentrix for scheduling. Adhere to OSHA/CDC safety and protect PHI. Requires dental assistant certification and x-ray certification if required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• If required by state, dental assistant and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and protection of PHI.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate throughout treatment.
• Review health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D, digital photos).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare rooms following OSHA/CDC protocols.
• Manage supplies and place orders; support office workflow.
