Plymouth Meeting Family Dental, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. The role requires x-ray certification and involves chairside support, patient education, and x-ray processing using iTero 3D scanner and Dentrix scheduling.

We offer a full-time schedule with weekly rotations and a competitive hourly salary. This position emphasizes patient care, safety, and ongoing training in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification if required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Regular HIPAA training and safeguarding PHI.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists with four-handed dentistry.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
