Heartland Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for a full-time role with a Wednesday variant and a Monday-Thursday schedule. The position offers a competitive hourly salary based on experience, plus benefits.

Responsibilities include patient greeting and education, taking X-rays (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography), four‑hand chairside assistance, and maintaining sterile treatment rooms. Knowledge of Dentrix and OSHA requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under state practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and data safeguards awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from the start of their dental journey while ensuring comfort.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process X-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC.
