Job summary

Brownstown Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our collaborative team. The role involves welcoming patients, reviewing health histories, taking and processing x‑rays and diagnostic photos, and providing top‑tier chairside assistance to our dentists.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling and records, maintain clean, safe treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC guidelines, and help manage supplies to support smooth office operations.

Qualifications

• Certification as a dental assistant and/ or x-ray verification per state requirements.
• BLS certification is required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure comfort from the first visit.
• Review health history to guide safe care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic photos (iTero 3D, digital).
• Provide four‑handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place orders; support office workflow.
