Job summary

Heartland Dental’s Chesapeake Center for Complete Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll work with state-of-the-art technology, providing chairside support and patient education throughout treatment.

The role includes taking x-rays, reviewing health histories, and supporting dentists across procedures. You’ll use Dentrix for scheduling, maintain safety protocols, and contribute to a collaborative office with vast experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a dental setting.
• VA x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and protection of PHI as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from the start of treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols.
