Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant for Family Dentistry on Freedom. Join a team-focused practice using modern tech like iTero and Dentrix to deliver high-quality patient care. You will support clinicians across a variety of procedures with a strong emphasis on safety and PHI protection.

The role requires dental assistant and x-ray certifications, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, educate during treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols per OSHA & CDC.
