Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant to join Gateway Dental Care. You’ll greet patients, review health histories, and support clinicians with a range of procedures using Dentrix for scheduling and iTero for imaging.

Responsibilities include patient education, x-ray processing, and maintaining the treatment room with strict safety procedures. Preference given to candidates with dental assisting certification, X-ray certification, and Dentrix experience.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act
• Regular HIPAA training and data safeguards compliance

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring comfort and education throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to provide quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance to supported dentists during procedures per state practice act
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations
• Manage supply and inventory, place and expedite orders as needed
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow
