Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join Smile Design Connerton in Florida. You’ll greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays, and provide chairside support while following safety and HIPAA guidelines.

You’ll use Dentrix to manage scheduling and records, ensure clean and ready treatment rooms, and help maintain supply levels. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and continuous learning within a leading dental support organization.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, patient-focused environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate throughout treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic imaging.
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols.
• Manage supplies and place expeditious orders.
• Collaborate with providers to optimize office workflow.
