South Mountain Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support with our dentists.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of experience, Dentrix proficiency, and active dental certifications. We offer growth, a supportive team, and a focus on high-quality patient care within a Heartland Dental supported office.

Qualifications

• 1+ years chairside dental assisting experience preferred; we may train the right person with a certificate.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• Hardworking, team player, motivated.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place orders; support Heartland Dental systems.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
