Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant for South Mountain Dental Care. You will greet patients, review health histories, capture diagnostic images, and assist dentists with a range of procedures including four-handed dentistry. The role uses Dentrix for scheduling and records, and emphasizes safety and patient education.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of chairside dental assisting experience in a general dentistry setting.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and protecting PHI as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and sustain patient comfort and education.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to supported dentists during procedures per state practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
