Job summary

Smile Brands-affiliated dental office is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to prepare patients and rooms, assist clinicians, and take X-rays when permitted. You will educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care while maintaining strict infection control and a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive, dependable and willing-to-learn attitude.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but qualified new dental assistants may be considered depending on the state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
• Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
• Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records, when permitted by state regulations and within credentials.
• Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain infection control, sterilization and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
• Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
• Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
• Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to deliver exceptional care.
