Job summary

Heartland Dental's Aberdeen Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant who can greet patients, assist dentists with four-handed dentistry, take x‑rays, and help educate patients on care.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p, in a fast-paced, supportive practice with Dentrix for scheduling, OSHA/CDC safety, and opportunities to grow within the Heartland Dental family and benefit from comprehensive health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply inventory and place orders.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
