Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join Aberdeen Dental and support a fast-paced, patient‑centered practice. You will greet patients, assist dentists, manage records in Dentrix, and help maintain a safe, efficient operatory.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate health history reviews, and adherence to OSHA/CDC guidelines while supporting team collaboration and office workflow.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• If required under state law, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from their first visit and support comfort during treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Capture x-rays and diagnostic images (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists during procedures per state practice act.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
