Job summary

Heartland Dental’s Burtonsville office seeks a Dental Assistant to welcome patients, review health history, capture x-rays and conduct diagnostic imaging. You’ll provide proficient chairside assistance to dentists using four-handed techniques and manage scheduling with Dentrix.

Maintain safety per OSHA/CDC guidelines, manage supplies, and collaborate with the team to optimize office workflow and patient care in a supportive, learning-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Customer-centric environment experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and data safeguards awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate them during treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
