Job summary

Monocacy River Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant. You will greet patients, review histories, take x-rays with iTero, provide four-handed chairside support, and use Dentrix for scheduling. You’ll work in a team-focused, safety-conscious environment with modern technology.

Full-time schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Fridays 7:30am-1pm, ensuring work-life balance. Training and growth opportunities are emphasized within Heartland Dental’s network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, ensure comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D, digital photos).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures following safety rules.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room adhering to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
