Job summary

Streets of St. Charles Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join the Heartland Dental family. You will greet patients, review health histories, and provide effective chairside assistance with a focus on patient comfort and education throughout treatment.

You will operate Dentrix for scheduling and records, prepare rooms per safety protocols, and support office workflow with strong communication and organization. Office hours apply.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and support comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
