Job summary

Barracks Road Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll work with state-of-the-art technology and a supportive environment where learning is encouraged and patient care comes first.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, reviewing health histories, taking X-rays, providing four-handed chairside support, using Dentrix for scheduling, maintaining safety standards, and assisting Heartland Dental systems to maximize workflow.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• VA x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from the start of their dental journey and ensure patient comfort.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with strict safety protocols following OSHA & CDC guidance.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and Heartland Dental to optimize office workflow.
