Heartland Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for our East Peoria area office. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate health history review, and efficient support during procedures.

You'll work with a collaborative team, using Dentrix and iTero tools, and ensure safety and cleanliness per OSHA and CDC guidelines. Heartland Dental supports your growth within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental assisting and patient care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with patients and staff.
• Certification in dental assisting and/or dental x-ray as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and support comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and related diagnostics (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists per state regulations.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage inventory and place orders; support Heartland Dental systems.
• Collaborate with providers and team to maximize office workflow.
