Qualifications

• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification required by state law.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (Dentrix compatible).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to clinicians.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidance.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and place orders as needed.
