Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant for our Springfield, IL office. You will greet patients, review health history, take X-rays, provide four-handed chairside assistance, and support Dentrix-based scheduling while maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection.
• Ability to follow safety protocols per OSHA & CDC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Maintain treatment rooms and safety standards.
• Manage supplies and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
