Job summary

Forward Dental - Delafield is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays and support dentists with four‑handed dentistry using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

We value proactive learners and a patient‑centered approach, with experience in fast‑paced environments and HIPAA-compliant data handling. Training and growth are encouraged within a stable Heartland Dental network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required under state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort and provide education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures in line with state practice acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with the providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
