Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time position at Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, IN. The role supports the dentist and hygienist in chairside procedures within a correctional setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a dental assisting program or 6 months’ experience, Dental Radiology certification, CPR certification, and ability to obtain security clearance. TB screening must be current.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or minimum six months of Dental Assistant experience.
• Certification in Dental Radiology required.
• CPR certification required.
• Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred.
• Must obtain security clearance and pass drug screen/criminal background check.
• PPD tuberculosis screening documentation must be current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Prepare and maintain the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Hourly Pay Rate $23 per hour!Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction.We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time opportunity at Indiana State Prison located in Michigan City, Indiana.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory• Operating radiographic equipment• Administrative tasks as needed• High school diploma or GED equivalent required• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required• Certification in Dental Radiology required• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkAvailable Shift: full-time days, 40 hours per weekCenturion is the provider of healthcare services for the Indiana DOC.
