Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time, day-shift position at Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill, Indiana. The role works under the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in a correctional setting. Required are a high school diploma or GED, dental radiology certification, CPR, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required.

• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred.
• Must show/obtain current PPD documentation for tuberculosis screening.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in CPR.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time opportunity at Miami Correctional Facility located in Bunker Hill, Indiana.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Certification in Dental Radiology required
• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: full-time days, 30 hours per week
