Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for Madison Correctional Facility in Madison, IN. The role supports the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, operatory maintenance, radiographic imaging, and related administrative tasks. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, plus a dental assisting program or 6 months of experience, radiology certification, and CPR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six months of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Certification in Dental Radiology required; Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred.
• Must show/obtain PPD tuberculosis screening documentation.
• CPR certification required; active certification.
• Ability to obtain security clearance including drug screen and background check.

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Prepare and maintain the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Corrections. We have partnered with Exos as our subcontractor for Dental Assistant services.

We are currently seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for an opportunity at Madison Correctional Facility located in Madison, Indiana.

The Dental Assistant (Indiana) works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Certification in Dental Radiology required
• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Shift:

Part-time days, 20 hours per week
