Job summary

Family Dental Care of Medina, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a collaborative team in Medina. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays and scans, and provide four-handed chair-side assistance to supported dentists while following safety protocols.

The role requires dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as per state rules, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules and patient care efficiently.

Qualifications

• Certification as a dental assistant and X-ray certification, as required by state dental practice act.
• Experience with dental procedures, patient education, and maintaining patient comfort.
• Familiarity with Dentrix and intraoral scanners is plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process X-rays and 3D scans as needed.
• Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
