Job summary
Gateway Smiles Dentistry, part of Heartland Dental LLC, seeks a Dental Assistant to join our Colorado team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide efficient chairside support while upholding safety and HIPAA standards.
The ideal candidate has dental experience, strong communication, and may have Dentrix experience or dental assisting school certification. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement within a national network.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
- If required, dental assistant and/or x-ray certification per state act.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
- Review patient health history to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and digital imaging.
- Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
- Maintain scheduling and records using Dentrix.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
- Manage supplies and place orders to support office workflow.
