Job summary

Smile Design Clearwater, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team and help deliver high-quality patient care. You will greet patients, review health history, take X-rays, and provide chairside assistance with dentists.

Using Dentrix for scheduling and records, you will maintain safety protocols per OSHA/CDC and HIPAA standards. The role offers a supportive environment, ongoing training, and a stable career within a large nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols per OSHA/CDC.
• Manage supplies and orders; support Heartland Dental systems.
