Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution in Milton, Florida. The position supports the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting, with duties including instrument sterilization, operatory maintenance, radiographic imaging, and essential administrative tasks.

Qualifying candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a dental assisting program or six months’ experience,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or six months of experience.
• Certification as Expanded Duty Assistant preferred; if not current, to be obtained within year.
• Current PPD documentation and CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Maintain and operate the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment as directed.
• Assist the Dentist and Hygienist in chairside dentistry.
• Complete required administrative tasks as needed.
