Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for Wakulla Correctional Institution Annex in Crawfordville, FL. The role supports the dentist and/or dental hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting.

You will prepare and sterilize instruments, operate radiographic equipment, and perform clinical and administrative tasks. The position requires state licensed credentials; a security clearance process may apply during onboarding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Certified Dental Assistant license or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Florida Radiograph Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• PPD documentation preferred, or willingness to obtain on hire.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain on hire.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and background check.
• Work in a correctional facility environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Prepare and maintain the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
