Job summary

Walker Dental Group in Westerville, Ohio is seeking a dental assistant who prioritizes patient comfort and smooth clinic flow. New grads are welcome; we’ll train. You’ll assist the doctor, help with back-office tasks, and maintain a clean, sterile treatment area.

We offer a compensation package with an hourly range of $21–$25 based on experience, plus a 401(k) match and PTO/holidays. Schedule includes Mon, Wed, Thu with varied times, in a privately owned practice committed to patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and seat them in the treatment room.
• Assist the dentist in patient care.
• Keep back-office techs updated on new tools.
• Monitor lab materials and supplies.
• Build rapport with patients.
• Follow OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.
• Clean and sterilize instruments; prep rooms.
• Take and mount dental radiographs.
• Support team to meet business objectives.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment.

About Us

Are you a Dental Assistant looking for a privately owned practice where you can help patients every day? Do you love to create a smooth environment that puts the patient first? If so we would LOVE to talk to you!

What we’ll offer you:

• A compensation package, with a range of $21-25hr, based on experience
• 401(k) plan with a match
• PTO and holidays

Schedule:

• Monday: 6:30am-4:30pm (1 hour lunch)
• Wednesday: 7:30am-5:30pm (1 hour lunch)
• Thursday: 8:30am-6:30pm (1 hour lunch)

Responsibilities

As part of our team you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):

• Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room.
• Assist the doctor in providing care to the patient.
• Be knowledgeable of existing and emerging technologies and clinical initiatives that impact the back-office experience.
• Actively monitor lab materials and supplies.
• Develop a relationship with the patient.
• Follow all OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms as needed.
• Take, expose, and mount high quality dental radiographs.
• Contribute to the team in achieving business objectives to accomplish goals.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and team.

Required Qualifications:

• New Grads welcome to apply! We will train!
• High school diploma or GED.
• Other certifications as required by the state, as an example: Radiology Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Dental Softwares as Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar dental softwares, is preferred.
• Knowledge of Chairside assisting, and dental terminology
