Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant in California to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials. You will pass instruments, assist in procedures, and help with IOs and prophylaxis cleaning, while guiding patients on oral hygiene.

The role requires X-ray certification and BLS, plus infection control and Dental Practice Act certifications. Join a team focused on pediatric dental care and patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or 3–6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• X-ray certification
• BLS certification
• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Takes x-rays.
• Takes intraoral exams (IOs).
• Assists in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor.
• Sterilizes instruments.
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene.
• Charts patient treatment and treatment plan with doctor.

Dental Assistant - Part TIme

Summary: The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. This is a part time position.

Pay Range: $16.90 - $21.49/hr (Based on experience)

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Required Certificates or Licences:

• X-Ray certification
• BLS certification

• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification
