Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services, based in the Southwest United States, is seeking a Dental Assistant in Arizona to support dental care delivery by preparing rooms, patients, instruments and materials, and passing instruments during procedures.

The role involves taking x-rays, IO exams, patient education on oral hygiene, instrument sterilization, room setup and charting under the doctor’s guidance.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Dental Assistant

Summary:The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Arizona dental standards.
