Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant in Henderson, NV to support dental care delivery by preparing rooms, patients, instruments, and materials. You will pass instruments, assist with procedures, take X-rays, and help patients with oral hygiene.

Certification from a dental college or 3–6 months related experience is preferred; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Nevada X-Ray and BLS certifications are required, with a 4-hour Infection Control certification expected.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience: Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Summary: The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Nevada dental standards.

pay range $14.90 to $19.38 (based on expereince)
