Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support delivery of dental care by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments and materials, and assisting with procedures in compliance with Arizona standards. The role includes taking x-rays and intraoral photos, charting treatments, and instructing patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Arizona X-Ray certification
• Current BLS certification
• Arizona Coronal Polish certification

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Dental Assistant

Summary:The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Arizona dental standards.
