Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials, and by passing instruments and materials during procedures in compliance with Arizona standards.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or three to six months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Education

Certification from a dental college

Three to six months related experience or training

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Tools

Arizona X-Ray certification

Current BLS certification

Arizona Coronal Polish certification

Arizona Sealant certification
