Job summary

Kids Dental Brands is seeking a Dental Assistant for Arcadia Pediatric Dental in Arcadia. This full-time on-site role involves chair-side support, taking x-rays, preparing and sterilizing instruments, and assisting with impressions, extractions, and fillings.

You will help educate patients on oral hygiene and monitor medical history and vitals to ensure safety and comfort. Starting pay is $17+ per hour, with potential increases based on certifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Certification as Dental Assistant required.
• X-ray certification a plus; sealant/polishing & nitrous certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chair-side with dentists and assist with patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of teeth; assist with extractions and fillings.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA.

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $17+depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $300additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday - Friday
