Job summary

Kids Dental Brands in Hamilton, Ohio is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join an upbeat, kid-friendly team. You will work chair-side with dentists, take and process x-rays, and prepare and sterilize instruments while helping patients feel comfortable throughout treatment.

Certification required: CDA or RDA; X-ray, sealant polishing, and nitrous certification are a plus. No prior experience needed, but a Dental Assistant certification is required.

• Experience: No prior experience required but must hold Dental Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care and lab duties.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of teeth; assist with extractions and fillings.
• Instruct patients on oral hygiene practices.
• Record medical history and monitor vital signs.
• Ensure patient comfort during and after treatment.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $19.000 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday - Friday
