Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services in Fresno, CA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments and materials, and by passing instruments during procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Essential duties include assisting the doctor, taking x‑rays and IOs, assisting in prophylaxis cleaning, sterilizing instruments, setting up and breaking down rooms, charting treatment plans, and instructing patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures

Dental Assistant

Summary: The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $16.90-$20.43/hr (Based on experience)

Required Certificates or Licences:

• X-Ray certification
• BLS certification

• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification
