Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• X-Ray, BLS, Infection Control, and Dental Practice Act certifications are required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Overview

Dental Assistant

Summary: The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. This is a part time position to work 3 days a week.

Pay Range: $17.36-$22.60/hr (Based on experience)

• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification
