Job summary

Choice Healthcare Services in Bakersfield, California, seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to support pediatric dentists, orthodontists and anesthesiologists in a busy, friendly office. You will fully utilize your Dental Assistant skills and contribute to high-quality care for children.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Certification from a dental college OR 3–6 months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• Spanish language skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Takes x-rays.
• Takes IO's.
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene.

Dental Assistant

Full- Time Dental Assistant needed for busy fun and friendly dental office. You can fully utilize your Dental Assistant skills working with Pediatric Dentists, Orthodontists and Anesthesiologists.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00 /hr (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene

• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Required Certificates or Licences:

• X-Ray certification
• BLS certification

• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification
