Job summary

Veit Corporation in Minnesota is seeking an Estimator II to develop accurate demolition project estimates from plan review through final submission. You will work with project managers and field teams to identify requirements and constructability during preconstruction, and assist in transitioning awarded work into execution.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CM/CE or 3–5 years of bid/estimate experience, proficiency with AGTEK/HCSS, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering from four-year college or university; or minimum of 3-5 years' bidding/estimation experience.
• Proficiency with Construction Bidding and Project Management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specs to determine scope of work for bids.
• Perform earthwork takeoffs and hand takeoffs for project quantities.
• Solicit subcontractor quotes and prepare bid numbers with DBE/MBE considerations.
• Construct bid by adding activities, crews, equipment and rates; print and deliver proposals on time.
