Job summary

Veit & Co in Minnesota seeks an Estimator II to develop accurate demolition project estimates from plan review through bid submission. You will conduct earthwork takeoffs, gather subcontractor pricing, and build comprehensive estimates using HeavyBid, coordinating with Project Managers and field operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s in CM or CE (or 3–5 years bidding/estimating), strong software proficiency (AGTEK, HCSS, MS Office), and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or 3–5 years’ bidding/estimating experience.
• Proficiency with Construction Bidding and Project Management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plans/specifications to determine scope for the project.
• Performs site visits and quantity takeoffs; gathers subcontractor pricing.
• Constructs bid using activities, crews, and equipment; manages final proposal and submission.
