Brookdale is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide dementia-focused support in a resident community. You will assist with daily activities, follow individual care plans, and promote engagement and independence for residents.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 3–6 months experience in dementia care. The role emphasizes teamwork, respect, and safety, with opportunities for growth within a nationwide senior living network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–6 months related experience or training in direct service with older adults living with dementia.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s type.

Responsabilités

• Provides dementia care following a person-centered service plan and maintains resident dignity and independence.
• Assists residents with ADLs and daily living activities according to the individual service plan.
• Initiates and leads Daily Path engagement programs and fosters socialization among residents.
• Maintains accurate resident records and, where applicable, documents medication distribution and daily observations.
• Observes health changes and reports them promptly to the supervisor to ensure resident safety.
• Promotes a clean, safe, and respectful living environment and teamwork with co-workers.
